On the surface, Vietbet’s sign-up bonus of $3000 is attention-grabbing. Then you read the fine print and it becomes less impressive. Vietbet only matches 20 percent of a player’s first deposit, meaning you’ll need to add $15000 just to earn that max bonus — which isn't a bargain at all. The rollover rate is a more modest 5X, but that doesn’t make up for the 20-percent match, which is below industry standards for a welcome bonus.

To our surprise, Bitcoin was the only banking option at Vietbet. That means no credit or debit card, e-wallet, bank wire, not even other crypto options aside from Bitcoin. This complete lack of options could be a difference-maker for a lot of players, especially those that are still hesitant to invest in Bitcoin. Vietbet needs to do better in this department to keep pace in this competitive industry.

Cashout options at VietBet aren’t nearly as limited as its deposit methods, but they could still be better. Once again, Bitcoin is accepted as a banking method. New options include bank transfer and mailed check. Neither comes cheap, however, as you’ll automatically be docked $80 on every single transaction.

Upon logging in to your Vietbet account, you’ll automatically be directed to the platform’s “bet the board.” The board is broken up by sport and then leagues within that sport. Check the box of sport/league lines you’re interested in seeing then tap “continue” to pull up the odds. From here, you can enter how much you want to risk on any line.

The available lines in politics are predominately based on the US Election. In a bit of a surprise, Vietbet actually doesn’t offer any virtual sports betting. While popular in Europe, sports simulation wagering hasn’t quite caught fire with North American audiences yet. If it is your cup of tea, this lack of support could be a deal-breaker for you.   

Vietbet caters strongly to Asia-based bettors. Thus it comes as no surprise that the NBA has a strong presence on the platform. After all, the league is quickly becoming a power play in many countries throughout the continent. 

WTA and ATP dot the entire map with its tournaments during the season. Just about all of them can be gambled on at Vietbet. Of course, that includes the prized Grand Slam events such as the US Open or Wimbledon. 

Underneath the football menu, you’ll find lines for NFL, NFL props, college, college props, and futures — the full-breadth of bets to satisfy most football fanatics. Just about all wagers on Vietbet are available for parlaying, aside from futures and in-play (which is industry standard). All it takes is to add multiple betting lines to your ticket. Unfortunately, extra resources are lacking on Vietbet. If you’re not already familiar with online wagering and all of its vocabulary, you’ll need to learn it elsewhere because Vietbet isn’t providing answers. The same goes for more experienced bettors that are doing research for their next bet. There’s no blog to speak of at Vietbet. 

Vietbet’s racebook carries betting odds for the top tracks throughout the world. But better yet, it also offers a daily rebate program. The program applies to daily bet volume — not only losses. Depending on the track, the rebate ranges from four to nine percent. There’s also zero minimum or maximum betting limits to earn the rebate.

• A very dated user interface and experience (five casinos, c’mon)
• Lack of value-added bonuses
