Getting started on BetOwi is a painless process. All you need to do is enter your name, address, email, password, set your security question, agree to the terms and conditions, and voila, you’re registered! Altogether, the process takes less than a minute to complete so you can get to betting in no time. 

New sign-ups to BetOwi are eligible for a 100-percent match on their first deposit up to $500. But here’s the catch: the playthrough requirement on this bonus is a whopping 24X. Worse, the bonus isn’t even forfeitable. No withdrawals are allowed until the entire rollover is met. For lack of a better word, this bonus is awful.   

Make no mistake about it, cryptocurrency is the go-to deposit method on BetOwi. Seven of the 13 total methods supported on the platform are digital currencies. Non-crypto options include bank wire, UPS money orders, Money Gram, among others. 

Bitcoin: Seven Cryptos Supported

Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Carsano, Dash, Ehterum, Litecoin, and Ripple — those digital currencies are all allowed on BetOwi. The big leg up cryptos have over other methods like bank wire or money orders is transfer speed. Deposits done via crypto clear to your account instantly so you can bet right away. 

Credit Cards: Not At BetOwi

In a surprising twist, no bank cards are accepted on BetOwi for depositing. You can’t help but feel this is a glaring omission on BetOwi’s behalf, especially given how popular the option is across the industry. It’s a big miss by BetOwi here.  

Few things are worse than fees, especially when pulling out money that you’ve rightfully earned. Such is the case with BetOwi cashouts. Depending on the method you select, you’ll be docked anywhere from $50 to $75 per transaction. We wish we were kidding, but we’re not. 

Credit Cards: Only Free Option

Ok, so there is one cash out option on BetOwi that’s free-of-cost — prepaid VISA cards. You can find these at grocery or convenience stores and largely work like real debit cards. Withdrawal limits with these are $20 (minimum) and $1000 (maximum). 

Bitcoin: $50 Surcharge

Any and all crypto withdrawals at BetOwi come with a flat fee of $50 — which is $50 too many in our book. Almost as worse, the max cashout allowed is a measly $1000, which doesn’t bode well for those with deeper pockets.

BetOwi’s website design looks like it hasn’t been updated since the early 2000s. It works as it’s supposed to, but it’s certainly not pleasing to the eye. Anyway, the sportsbook menu is organized by sport and bet type (straight, parlay, future). Click through this to narrow down a selection. 

Check on a line to add it to your ticket. You’ll then be asked to enter how much you want to stake. Hit the blue “continue” button and you should be all set. 

We saw one politics line offered on BetOwi and one only — which party will win the US Presidential election. Seriously, that’s it. At that point, why even offer betting on politics when the options are so slim?

While browsing on BetOwi, its homepage banner had a giant graphic advertising NBA 2K betting “seven days a week, 365 days a year.” However, we went to the sportsbook menu and couldn’t find a single eSports line. So much for 24/7 wagering.  

Virtual sports or sports sims are slowly gaining popularity in the industry, especially in Europe. BetOwi hasn’t noticed, though, as it doesn’t offer any betting on it. 

The best way to describe BetOwi’s hoop selection is diverse. In it, you’ll find odds for leagues in China to Spain and obviously, the NBA. It’s the latter of which that makes up the lion’s share of the menu, though. NBA prices offered on BetOwi seemed to be in-line with most competitors.

If it's a major tournament like the US Open or Wimbledon, BetOwi will really up the ante on its offerings. That includes all tournament events — mens, womens, singles, doubles. Of course, other tennis events can also be found throughout the year, but the bet menu is a lot more leaner compared to a Grand Slam tourney. 

BetOwi’s sportsbook definitely panders to US sport followers. Of course, the beneficiary of that is the NFL, the nation’s most-popular league. At BetOwi, you’ll find an abundance of pregame and future lines. Though, it could definitely offer up more props to really get extra mileage out of NFL gambling. 

The MLB menu isn’t the deepest on BetOwi, but it’s still massive. That’s more due to MLB’s long 162-game season than BetOwi’s own doing, though. Akin to the NFL, you’ll get plenty of pregame lines for MLB at BetOwi, but we found the props lacking big time.

BetOwi’s racebook is mostly concentrated on horse racing in the United States. Bettors should know that BetOwi has a seven-percent rebate program on ALL horse wagers, win or lose. The rebate is awarded on a weekly basis, too. 

BetOwi actually maintains three separate casinos — Casa Blanca, Fortuna, and a classic option. Why three and not just bundle them all under one roof? Beats us! Nonetheless, there’s close to 100 games combined between the three. The selection includes slots, table games, video poker, and KENO/bingo.

There’s no poker room to speak of on BetOwi. The only way to get your poker fix is by playing the video poker machines in the Fortuna casino. That’s disappointing, but at this point, what’s not about BetOwi? 

We’ve already ragged on BetOwi’s design once, but it’s worth repeating here: the live wagering system looks and feels like a relic from Internet days gone past. Long gone in fact. But at least the lines do shift in real time. In our playing experience, BetOwi refreshed odds in a solid cadence with the real action. 

Since BetOwi’s sportsbook is organized by bet type, you can select parlay and find all the wagers that can be combined together. For the most part, that’s most bets, but there’s a few outliers (e.g. certain futures). Add two or more odds to your ticket to create a parlay. Then it’s as simple as adding how much to risk and confirming the bet. That’s the easy part, but actually hitting on it is the hard part. 

BetOwi does have a sports news section that gives out wagering advice on upcoming events of note. However, they haven't published anything since January 2019. So if you’re looking for betting analysis, you’ll likely have to get it outside of BetOwi. 

In the BetOwi footer, there’s a link for “rewards.” Once you click on it, you’re met with a black screen with “to be announced” text across it. Could this be a sign of things to come? We think so. A loyalty program at BetOwi feels inevitable at this point.

BetOwi maintains a FAQ section with tons of information. However, if you still need answers, reach out to its customer service team. You have your pick at calling directly (855.GO4.BETS), submitting a ticket, or using the live chat. Operating hours are pretty flexible. Customer service is available from 9 am to 11 pm EST on weekdays and 9 am to midnight during the weekend. 

When setting up an account at BetOwi, you can choose to sign up for email communication from them. Ultimately, the decision is yours, but you might as well give them a try at first. After all, you can always unsubscribe if you don’t like what you see. Most emails from BetOwi revolve around new promotions or special events. 

No, you can not live stream games right from BetOwi Sportsbook. Knowing that, you might want to keep your cable or satellite subscription. That’s still the best way to follow games you have action on.

We couldn’t find many countries where the use of BetOwi was verboten. But if you do happen to reach a wall when accessing BetOwi, you’re not completely out of luck. You could always opt for a virtual private network (VPN) that would mask your IP address and actually make it appear like it’s coming from elsewhere. BetOwi is completely usable when using a VPN.

Let’s not mince words, BetOwi isn’t a good betting site. At all. It has a long — and we mean long — way to go to catch up to competitors.
