In what has been an exciting development for the site, XBet has two fantastic March Madness-themed promotions that eligible customers can dig into this week. Per the contest rules page, the $5K March Madness XBracket Contest opens on Monday, March 17, 2025, and closes on the 20th. Meanwhile, the $2K March Madness XBracket16 Contest opens on Monday, March 24, 2025, and closes on Thursday, March 27, 2025, which of course is later in the NCAA Tournament. Both promotions, of course, are centered around this year’s college basketball March Madness event and contestants must select a number of correct games to rack up points to get higher in the respective prize pools. Below, SBS will be going over what to look for in each of these contests, the nuance of them, and also some other fun tips and tricks.

For this article, SBS will be going over the latest updates coming from XBet along with some additional thoughts and notes regarding the website and much more.

$5K XBracket opens with first round of NCAA Tournament

Noted on the XBet contests page, this particular promotion begins with the First Round of the 2025 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Entries can be purchased in advance and if your bracket is not completed or filled out by 12:00 PM ET on Thursday, March 20th, your entry will be void and eliminated from the contest. Additionally, here are the Round Dates for the tournament: First Round (March 20-21), Second Round (March 22-23), Sweet 16 (March 27-28), Elite 8 (March 29-30), Final Four (April 5th), and Championship (April 7th).

Only fully completed brackets qualify for the contest prizes and house rules and regulations apply for this event. XBet also reserves the right to amend this promotion at any time and once you submit your selection, you cannot change your picks. Additionally, winners will be notified by Email and will be posted on a leaderboard. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to keep his/her email information in their account updated and accurate.

The contest has the following point system: one point for every correct selection in the first round, two points for every correct selection in the second round. Contestants then can accrue four points for every correct pick in the Sweet 16 and then eight points for every correct selection in the Elite 8. Finally, 16 points can be stacked up for correct selections in the Final Four and 32 points for picking the winner of the Championship Game. This contest has a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000 with first place taking home $1,000. Meanwhile, second and third place could net $500 and $500, respectively. After that, the rest of the prize numbers wind down all the way to 75th place ($50).

The XBracket16 Contest kicks off with the Sweet 16

Also noted on the website, the $2K March Madness XBracket16 Contest opens on Monday, March 24, 2025 and closes later that week. The Contest begins with the Sweet 16 Round of the 2025 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 27, 2025. The rules for this promotion are pretty similar to the one mentioned above. That said, if your bracket is not completed or filled out by 12:00 pm ET on Thursday, March 27th, your entry will be void and eliminated from the contest. Additionally, the round dates for this promotion are: Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final Four, and also the Championship on April 7th. Additionally, only fully completed brackets qualify for the contest prizes.

Each entry into the $2K March Madness XBracket16 Contest costs $10 and entries may be purchased with real cash funds. Additionally, contestants can buy two and get one free entry. This promotion is only available as of Thursday, March 20, 2025, until the 27th. If various participants tie, a tie-breaker question will be used to determine the final standings of the contest.

If the tie-breaker is necessary, participants will be ranked based on having the closest answer to the Total Points Scored in the Championship Game. Also, if various participants remain in a tie after the tie-breaker, the winnings will be split along with the next lowest prize. Winnings are awarded as cash with no rollover requirements, with the exception of the Free Plays, which must be wagered at least one time. Finally, the grand prize for this contest is $500 for first place, second place is good for $400, third place nets you $300 and contestants can score prizes all the way until 25th place ($25).
