Right now, Usman is the favorite over Burns. In fact, he is the favorite by a longshot. If you placed $100 on Burns, and he wins, you would end up taking home an extra $215 in profit. He is quite the underdog.
Other matches on the fight ticket should be much closer. When Pedro Munhoz takes on Jimmie Rivera, it should be much closer. In fact, Rivera is only slightly favored. It might not have the biggest names, but this fight should still bring plenty of excitement.
Mallory Martin is favored to beat Polyana Viana, though not as definitively as Usman. This match is a good mix of excitement without being a complete guess. If you are looking for an underdog with a good shot, Viana is a good choice.

This is the third time this fight has been scheduled. The first date was July 12, 2020. However, they had to conceal this fight when Burns tested positive for COVID-19 on July 3.
This fight was then rescheduled for October 5, 2020. However, Usman pulled out citing the need for more time to recover from undisclosed injuries. We are all very sure that this time it will finally happen. Or we are at least hoping.
Usman is a Nigerian American who competes in the Welterweight division of UFC. In fact, he is the current UFC Welterweight champion. This man is no joke. He is ranked #5 in the UFC’s men’s pound-for-pound ranking. We are talking about high levels of skill here.
He will be defending his title against Gilbert Burns. Most agree that he is likely to maintain his title. Usman has been wrestling since his high school days in college. He has been a successful wrestler throughout his college years and up until today.
While he has been wrestling for nearly 15 years, he started his UFC career in 2015, where he has quickly risen to the top of the field.
Gilbert Burns is also nothing to sneeze at. As a Brazilian MMA fighter, he is very skilled in grappling. In fact, he has won the World Championship three times. In the UFC Welterweight division, he is number two, directly behind Kamaru.
Will he dethrone the champion?
Burns started his jiu-jitsu journey in his home country where his father traded car repairs for lessons for his children to study jiu-jitsu. At just 23 he won the silver medal at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
Burns has been itching to take on Usman for nearly a year now. With the continual rescheduling, he has had to be patient and train consistently. Burns has been on a winning streak, not having lost since July 7, 2018. Will this be enough to help him claim the Welterweight Championship?
