About two-thirds of the NHL is in action come Thursday, November 10. Betting opportunities are abundant, but after doing research, we’ve honed-in on three must-make betting picks on the busy night of NHL. Want ’em for free? Keep reading cause we’re giving them all out to you below!

Three Must Make Nhl Bets For November 10

Over/Under 6.5 goals: Las Vegas Golden Knights at Buffalo Sabres

This is a juicy matchup. Vegas (11-2 overall) enters as the hottest team in the league with eight consecutive wins. However, Buffalo is far from a gimme game as they are one of the bigger surprises of the young season at 7-5. Oh, and it’s on their home ice too. We have our eyes dead set on the Golden Knights-Sabres over/under. Here’s how the top-used NHL betting sites have it pegged:

Over 6.5 goals-110-110
Under 6.5 goals-110-110

The 6.5 number is completely fair given the two teams, who both rank in the top-4 in average goals per game. Buffalo is second league-wide at 3.8 goals per game, while Las Vegas is in fourth with a 3.6 average.

Outside of the potent offenses, we should also mention this is the “Jack Eichel revenge game.” The ex-Sabres player was dealt to the Golden Knights two years ago, and bad blood remains on both sides. Eichel was booed out of the building here a year ago and we’d expect the same come Thursday night.

The Eichel storyline and overall matchup between these two makes this almost must-watch television. When the dust settles, we expect points to fly off the board in this one. Both teams are playing at a high level as of late and we wouldn’t expect a regression to the mean with so much at stake due to Eichel.

Moneyline: New York Rangers at Detroit Red Wings

These two teams played a barn-burner just a few days ago on Sunday. On the Rangers’ home floor, Detroit rallied from a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 in overtime. A power-play goal from Dominik Kubalik 2:43 into OT sealed the victory for the surprising Red Wings. But despite that (and this game being back in Detroit), bookmakers are favoring New York to win on the moneyline:

NY Rangers-150-150

We’re a tad surprised the Rangers are favored her if we’re being honest. Never mind the loss to this opponent four nights ago, but New York is also on a three-game losing streak. Just this Tuesday, they blew another two-goal lead to in-city rival Islanders. Can you really trust a team like that? We’re not, that’s for sure.

Not only that, but as we alluded to before, Detroit has caught most of the league off guard. They are 7-3-2 overall this season, but have been especially good inside their home arena. The Red Wings are 5-1-2 at Little Caesars Arena. This team is showing a resiliency they’ve lacked as of late so we’re riding Detroit to the bank in this one, especially with plus-money odds.

Moneyline: Edmonton Oilers vs. Carolina Hurricanes

This too is a rematch from an earlier-season game, which was also a doozy. Back on October 20, these two teams engaged in an absolute shootout, which was ultimately won by the Oilers 6-4 on its own ice. That result means little here again as the Canes are favored across oddsmakers on the moneyline:

Carolina-145-145

One thing we have to mention is there’s a chance Carolina has some fatigue going into this game. High chance of that, actually. That’s because they played the night before against a Stanley Cup contender in Florida. It won’t be easy to rebound right back against one of the most offensively-potent teams in the NHL in Edmonton. The Oilers are averaging 3.8 goals game, tied for second most with the aforementioned Sabres.

We love the underdog value of Edmonton here. They played on Tuesday night so won’t have the same rest issues as Carolina going back-to-back. The Canes also have question marks at goalie after an injury to Frederik Andersen so they’re checking a lot of boxes for fading material.
