A staple event of the WWE calendar, the 2025 Royal Rumble will take place on February 1st, 2025 at Lucas Oil Stadium featuring the best in the world of professional wrestling. Per MyBookie, there are a variety of stars featured in this event who could make a run on both the men’s and women’s side of the rumbles. Per the site, the current favorite on the men’s side of the event is The Rock at +230 followed closely by John Cena (+370). Both stars are certainly some of the best of their respective generations and would make for exciting winners should the stars align. Meanwhile, on the women’s side, there is a logjam at the top of the MyBookie favorite standings with Becky Lynch (+200), Charlotte Flair (+280), and Rhea Ripley (+300) forming a familiar triumvirate at the top of the rankings to win the Royal Rumble.

For this article, SBS will be going over what to look for from the latest gaming updates coming from MyBookie along with some additional notes and info from SBS and more.

Rock and Cena are on a collision course at the 2025 Rumble

Per sources, in November of 2024, it was announced Cena would be competing at the event, which in turn would be his last Royal Rumble appearance. This was after the legendary champion announced he would be retiring at the end of 2025. However, it is currently unclear where he will be competing in the eponymous match or in another bout on the card. With that in mind, Cena could make another championship run this year, should this truly be his final send-off even though most things are never final in pro wrestling. Opposing the former “Dr. of Thuganomics” will be a familiar rival in The Rock. One of the most influential and charismatic figures in pro wrestling history, The Rock returned after a six-month hiatus at Bad Blood last fall to offer an ominous warning to Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Jimmy Uso.

With Cena and Rock both headlining the top of the MyBookie standings, it would be interesting to see if a wrestler on his way out, like the former, or a part-time performer, the latter, would win the Rumble. Of course, for those not super familiar with the event, the winner of this competition goes on to face the current champion of the WWE at Wrestlemania, depending on which brand they are on, Raw or Smackdown. Meanwhile, another stellar former champion, CM Punk (+400), is in the mix at MyBookie and could make for an interesting selection here. After making his return to WWE in November 2023, he has been making waves in the company throughout his return. Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential wrestlers of his time, his 434-day WWE Championship reign is the seventh-longest all-time.

Flair, Lynch, & Ripley are the top choices for the women

Per the standings at MyBookie, Lynch (+200), Flair (+280), and Ripley (+300) are the top contenders to win the women’s Royal Rumble event. Lynch has won the Raw Women’s Championship twice and also the Women’s World Championship five times over. Flair is one the most dominant wrestlers of her generation but is currently out of action due to a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. That said, the second-generation star is a 14-time women’s world champion, having held a variety of women’s division championships, including the WWE Divas Championship, where she was the final record holder of the belt. Finally, Ripley has been one of the most dominant performers of her generation with her 380-day title reign with the Women’s World Championship tied with Bayley as the longest in the title’s history. Additionally, she won the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble, doing so as the number one entrant.

In addition to the other contenders mentioned here, Jade Cargill (+400) is another surprise contender who could make a run at winning the event here. Noted for her run in AEW, she was the inaugural AEW TBS champion, her single reign of 508 days is the longest for any AEW championship. Cargill is an imposing figure and this could be her big opportunity to break through in WWE. On the men’s side, Roman Reigns (+700) is another player who could make a run at this event as one of the key figures in pro wrestling who is a multiple-time champion and one of the most dominant wrestlers of his era. Of course, there are dark horse contenders here like Gunther (+1400) and also some long shot contenders in this event like Logan Paul, Randy Orton, Solo Sikoa, and Brock Lesnar all at +3300.
