The first match we’re looking at this evening is the struggling Orlando Magic against the Charlotte Hornets.
The not-so-magic Orlando sits bottom of the Eastern Conference with just 4 wins from 18 matches.
Their form has been terrible this season, and more recently they are 2-8, and on a losing streak of 3.
As for the Hornets, they sit 5th in the Eastern. Their win percentage is .579 and they are 6-4 across their last ten matches.
Overall this season the Hornets are 11-8, and away from home, their record reads 5-6, suggesting they are just under a 50/50 shot on the road.
I do feel this isn’t a case of if Charlotte can win, but a case of can they beat the spread.
I think they will, and I’m happy to take the -110 on offer from BetOnline.

Next up are preseason favorites, the Brooklyn Nets who travel up the coast to take on the Boston Celtics.
The Celts sit 6th in the Eastern Conference with a winning percentage of .556. In their last 10 outings, Boston has a 7-3 record.
At home this season the Celts are 5-3, with the Nets boasting a 7-2 record on the road.
Both of these teams are on a winning streak of 3, showing they are both in good form.
But when you compare the overall form of the Celts with that of the Nets, it’s the Brooklyn men that come out on top.
The Nets were the preseason betting favorites to win the Championship with the NBA betting sites, and that hasn’t changed.
At the moment, the Nets sit top of the Eastern Conference with a win percentage of .722.
Their recent form is 8-2, and they are on a winning streak of three.
I expect the Nets to be too strong for the Celtics and I’m taking them to win on the Moneyline.
After losing their last match, the Chicago Bulls have the ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways when they visit Houston to take on the Rockets.
The Rockets are having an absolute stinker of a season. They sit bottom of the Western Conference with a winning percentage of .059…… it almost sounds sarcastic to even put the word ‘winning’ in the description.
Houston has lost 15 matches in a row. They are 1-16 across the season, and they are not just losing matches, they are getting hammered in them.
Tonight’s opponents, the Chicago Bulls are desperately trying to keep pace with the Brooklyn Nets at the top of the Eastern Conference.
The Bulls have a winning percentage of .667 and in their last 10 matches, their record reads 6-4 – which isn’t great!
On Monday the Bulls lost at home to Indiana Pacers by 109 points to 77. It’s fair to say it was a shock result.
I really can’t see the Bulls not beating the Rockets though, and I’m taking them to win on the handicap spread tonight.
Tonight’s final fixture I want to look at is the in-form Golden State Warriors home match against the 76ers.
Golden State is top of the Western Conference with a record of 15-2 (their winning percentage is .882)
They are on a winning streak of four, and at home this season the Warriors’ record reads 9-1.
Except for Friday’s win over the Pistons (3 points), the Warriors have won the other three matches of their winning streak by 15 points or more.
The Philadelphia 76ers sit mid-table in the Eastern Conference with a winning percentage of .556.
Their last ten match form reads 4-6, which shouldn’t strike too much fear in the minds of the Warriors.
In their last match, they won 102-94 away to the Sacramento Kings, but by and large of late, the 76er’s form has been up and down.
This inconsistency means I can only see them suffering another defeat tonight at the hands of the Golden State Warriors.
