Wilson and Clark definitely will be duking it out for the highest honor this season, but there are two other players to keep an eye on, at least according to the MyBookie rankings. Reigning WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Napheesa Collier (+400) is an excellent candidate to perhaps take home the honor this season. In addition to individual honors, she has won two Olympic gold medals playing on the United States women’s national team in the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 games. A four-time WNBA All-Star, “Phee” is definitely capable of making a run at the honor as she becomes more offensively dominant.
Finally, a veteran player who is one of the most accomplished in league history, Breanna Stewart (+850), rounds out the top four athletes from MyBookie. A three-time WNBA champion, including last season, she is also a two-time WNBA MVP, having last won the award in 2023. Additionally, she is a stellar six-time All-WNBA First Team selection and one of the most dominating players on this list for her skills on the offensive and defensive sides of the basketball.
