The 2023 MotoGP World Championship season has seen a ton of excellent racing action thus far and the circuit is in its home stretch with four races remaining. This weekend will be a huge contest as the racers head to “The Land of Smiles” for the 2023 OR Thailand Grand Prix. In the latest MotoGP contest, Johann Zarco was able to notch his first win of the season with a victory at the Australian Grand Prix this past weekend. With that win, Zarco enters the top five of the MotoGP standings, but Italy’s Francesco Bagnaia is still firmly in first place in the World Championship hunt. Currently, he has a 27-point lead over second place Jorge Martín who he has dueled with most of the year in the MotoGP world title standings. Finally, behind them are two familiar faces in Marco Bezzecchi and Brad Binder.

In this article, SBS will be going over what to look for from each of these racers along with more notes and information about MotoGP wagering.

First Racer Spotlight: Francesco Bagnaia (+275)

The current points leader is coming off another strong outing in Australia, scoring a second-place win at the Australian Grand Prix this last weekend. With a nearly 30-point lead heading into the final stretch of the season, the Italian racer has been a steady threat to win each time he has entered a race. With six wins on the year, he has the most victories of any racer this season. Additionally, and rather remarkably, each time he has notched a runner-up finish this year, he has won the ensuing race all three times it has occurred

Second Racer Spotlight: Jorge Martín (+380)

The second fiddle racer to Bagnaia this season, Martín needs a big-time outing this weekend in Thailand to close the gap for the 2023 MotoGP World Championship. In Australia, he was able to bounce back from a retirement race in Indonesia the prior weekend by locking down a fifth-place finish. That said, he is only two races removed from his emphatic victory at the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix. Moreover, he was strong overall in Australia though, locking down the pole position and fastest lap so perhaps he is due for another win.

Third Racer Spotlight: Marco Bezzecchi (+450)

Another familiar name on this list, Bezzecchi has been fighting an uphill battle in his pursuit of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship. While a sixth-place finish at the Australian Grand Prix was solid, he still has fallen further behind both Bagania and Martín in the MotoGP standings. Nonetheless, he still has three victories this year and is one of the most consistent drivers this season with only two races ending in a retirement outing.

Last Racer Spotlight: Brad Binder (+550)

An excellent racer, Binder has had a tough go of things in his last six races with two retirements, and a finish outside the top ten. Of course, this also includes two top-five finishes, including a fourth-place outing this past weekend in Australia. While he has had two second-place finishes this year, the tough part about placing any kind of bets on Binder is he has not had any victories this season. Though he is consistent in placing high, hence his fourth-place standing, he still has not been able to turn it into wins.

Prediction: Another exciting showcase, take Bagnaia to finally break through with a win here given his consistently high finishes this year.
