Most recently, he earned a clear-cut unanimous decision victory over Karen Chukhadzhian in their November rematch. Meanwhile, Stanionis claimed the WBA crown with a split decision win over Radzhab Butaev back in April 2022. After a lengthy layoff, he returned to action in May 2024 and retained his belt by outpointing Gabriel Maestre in a unanimous decision.

Stanionis finally returned to action in May 2024, successfully defending his title with a clear unanimous decision over Gabriel Maestre.
Ennis brings a dangerous blend of technical prowess and boxing power into the ring, giving him a clear edge in this matchup. While Stanionis is a capable and fundamentally sound fighter, he doesn’t quite measure up to Ennis in key areas. That said, the Lithuanian champion is tough and determined, and he’s likely to have a few bright spots during the bout—potentially even taking a round or two. Still, it’s hard to overlook the physical and athletic advantages Ennis possesses. With his speed, strength, and overall ring IQ, there’s a strong possibility he goes the full 12 and emerges with both titles in hand.
