The Yankees completed a second successive sweep on Thursday with an 8-5 win over the Twins. The 3-0 mini-series win followed a 3-0 road-trip sweep over the Giants and was their eighth successive win.

Okay, when it comes to the division, they are 8.0 wins ahead of the Padres and 8.5 clear of the Diamondbacks, but their form isn’t anywhere near as good as the Yankees’ in recent weeks.
Last night Mookie Betts led the way as the Dodgers picked up an 11-7 win over the Pirates. Eventually, the combination of Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and Teoscar Hernández paid off.
The 11 runs is the most the Dodgers have scored since April 26, when they recorded a 12-2 win over the Blue Jays.
But as Betts stated after the match, “It’s just one game.”
