With the last NFL season drawing to a close, Bovada has unveiled some exciting new odds for next year’s halftime show (LX) spectacular. Per a recent report from the website, Super Bowl LIX was a spectacular event that was full of heated moments, adrenaline-filled spectacles and featured a grandiose performance by rap titan Kendrick Lamar alongside pop princess SZA. Although the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show is over, many fans are “riling up” online trying to scout who will be the upcoming next contender to take over this iconic role next year. Per the report, the team at Bovada has created the picture-perfect dream roster of potential candidates that are more than likely to invade everyone’s screens next year.

For this report, SBS will be going over what to look for from the latest gaming news and notes coming from Bovada, along with some additional thoughts and insights from SBS.

Post Malone leads the pack in early Super Bowl contention

Although Post Malone is currently buckled up in the country genre as evidenced with his latest album, “F-1 Trillion,” it would “be cool” to see Malone return to the pop genre for a night to sing all his radio hits. With odds of +200, he is currently the favorite to perform next year at the Super Bowl. With a dream setlist including “rockstar” featuring 21 Savage, the ‘Spider-Man’ anthem “Sunflower” to even the Tame Impala sounding “Circles,” Malone would be formidable to perform in the big game. Even to spice things up, Malone does have the unique opportunity to bring out Beyonce and Taylor Swift after collaborating on their respective albums with “LEVII’s JEANS” and “Fortnight.”

Noted on the article, Taylor Swift is second on the roster at +400 and would be an interesting choice to take center stage at the Super Bowl next year. Her prominence in football has become more and more prominent as she is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Outside of this connection, Swift has a tremendous catalog of hits on top of hits that are known throughout the entire planet. With her great show skills as seen during “The Era Tour,” Swift is quite literally built for this. Additionally, the report notes, “Reputation” by Swift is a cinematic pop masterpiece that was built for stadium-heavy crowds with anthems like “…Ready for it?” and “End Game” featuring Ed Sheeran and Future.

Drake is a dark horse contender for Super Bowl show

Following Kendrick Lamar’s iconic performance of “Not Like Us,” it would be an interesting play to see Drake headline Super Bowl LX. Setting this factor aside, Drake’s discography features radio gems like “One Dance” featuring Wizkid and Kyla and “Hotling Bling” which are emblematic of the nostalgic summer of 2016. On the polar opposite of this discography are pre-workout feeling tracks that hype any athlete for the big game, such as “Energy,” “Jumpman” and “Back To Back” which would be “great to hear live.”

Another candidate, Pop Crave and Bovada pointed out is Ariana Grande at +1200. The “Wicked” star had an amazing 2024 with her acting as she has starred in her dream musician, which was adapted into the big screen. Although Grande has revealed in a new interview that she is currently pausing her musical career to pursue other avenues, there would be hopes that she would return to her pop star shoes for one day to sing for fans. Rihanna was able to perform at the Super Bowl back in 2023 despite not releasing a new album back in 2016.

However, the article points out, it would be a perfect opportunity for Grande to perform her latest album, “Eternal Sunshine” which she has revealed she still plans to release a deluxe version of it, and it would help boost exposure for her upcoming sequel, “Wicked: For Good” coming out this year.

Billie Eilish noted as the final contender in this LX list

Fresh off her latest album, “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT,” Billie Eilish is currently embarked on her tour which has been the topic of conversation online. With an era, full of hits like “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” “LUNCH,” and the surprising current hit, “WILDFLOWER,” Eilish is on a roll. Were she to perform at the game, it would make her the youngest artist to headline the game, surpassing Bruno Mars at the potential age of 24. As per guest appearances, Eilish would definitely be singing alongside her brother, Finneas, and could even continue the “BRAT” cultural phenomenon by bringing in Charli XCX to sing their collaboration, “Guess.”
