Ryan Blaney is getting hot at the right time of year and oddsmakers are anticipating him taking that heat all the way to the finish line. The reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion is coming into the season-ending NASCAR Championship Race off a win last week in Martinsville.
Those good vibrations are seeing Blaney set as the +300 favorite to win the race, which would also mean he’d be retaining his NASCAR Cup Series title.

With the NASCAR field whittled down to the final four for the championship. Each of the four contenders is beginning the day deadlocked with 5000 points apiece.
Sunday’s race will cover 312 laps and 312 miles over the one mile long Phoenix Raceway oval. Stages are 75, 115 and 122 laps.
Logano (Las Vegas), Reddick (Homestead) and Blaney (Martinsville) all got to this point with recent victories. Only Byron earned his final four placing solely on points.

Let’s look at the top contenders for the NASCAR Championship Race title.
His win last week in Martinsville not only put Blaney into the final four, it places him on the same path he took to win the NASCAR Cup Series in 2023. He followed a win last year at Martinsville by finishing second in this race.
A leading contender for the title and a constant betting favorite, punishment for a safety violation in last week’s race put Bell out of the final four. Will he take that negative energy and use it to fashion a victory in Phoenix?
Byron was the benefactor of Bell’s misfortune. He hasn’t won since Week 8, but has finished among the top 10 in six of the last six races.
A two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Logano is also ramping up his performance level as the season winds down. He won the title in 2018 and 2022. A win in Phoenix would cap his 2022 triumph.
Though he was the NASCAR regular season champion, the playoffs aren’t going nearly as well for Reddick. He’s finished in the top 10 once over the past eight races. That was his win in Homestead, which put Reddick in the final four.
Like Bell, Larson was a betting choice to win the title this year. However, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion never got going in the playoffs. He ran in the top 10 just five times over the past 12 races.
Team Penske has two drivers – Logano and Blaney – among the NASCAR final four – and are given +190 odds to be the team that wins the NASCAR Championship race. Reddick is carrying the flag for Joe Gibbs Racing and that team is also getting co-favorite’s odds at +190. Toyota is set as the +150 chalk to be the manufacturer to win the race.
Byron is given +120 odds to be the best finishing Chevrolet driver. Bell is even money to lead all of the Toyota drivers across the finish line.
Blaney is the +110 favorite to finish the race among the top three. You can access a -150 betting line on Byron cracking the top five. And Bell is -350 to wind up among the top 10. He’s accomplished that a series-high 22 times this year.
Byron and Blaney are the co-favorites to win the NASCAR Cup Series title. Each is given odds of +250. They are the only two drivers in this year’s final four who were also part of last year’s final four. While Blaney is defending champion, Byron hasn’t won the Cup.
Logano won it twice and he did it in even-numbered years – in 2018 and 2022. He’s the +275 third betting choice in this market. Reddick is getting the longest odds among the final four at +290.
Phoenix is where Blaney got it done last year and he’s well-positioned to make history repeat itself.
In fact, he’s following the exact path. In the last three races of 2023, he second at Homestead, won at Martinsville and was second at Phoenix. He’s matched the first two exactly, but will go one better and be a winner in the NASCAR Championship Race.
