Roaring into August, BetOnline is ready to rock with its first gridiron contest of the season with the winner-take-all, $300,000 NFL Survivor promotion. According to the official contest page at BetOnline, this contest begins Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season and continues through Week 18 – the postseason is not included. Registration opens on Thursday, July 18th, 2024, and closes on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at 8:05 pm ET. Also, if you register for the contest on Sunday, September 8th, or the following Monday, only games on the Week 1 schedule that have not started will be available for selection. Contestants must have a valid BetOnline account to register for the Survivor Contest. Also, they can participate in the Survivor Contest by purchasing at least one entry at $30 per entry.

Per the main contest page at BetOnline, contestants must select one team to win its game outright each week of the NFL regular season. Point spreads in this scenario are irrelevant. If the team you select wins, your entry remains alive and you choose a team for the following week. However, if the team you choose loses or ties, your entry is eliminated. Once you select a team for a week, that team is not available for selection for the remainder of the contest. Also, the contestant (s) that have entries remain alive, without selecting a losing team, is the $300,000 Survivor Contest winner.
The contest ends on Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season, or when there is only one contestant remaining; whichever comes first. The site has an example for this scenario: if three contestants remain in Week 15 and two contestants select losing teams, the remaining contestant is declared the winner. If multiple contestants remain alive after Week 18, they will split the $300,000 evenly. Moreover, if a game is canceled or postponed for any reason and the game is not played before the following Wednesday, both teams scheduled to play in that game will be graded as losers. Of course, BetOnline also reserves the right to modify the rules of this contest without notice.
According to the BetOnline page, contestants can enter the $300,000 Survivor Contest up to 25 times. Additional entries are available at a discounted rate. One entry starts at $30, then entries two through five are $20 each. Moving from entries six through 10, gives you a breakdown of $15 each, while entries 11-25 will cost you $10 per entry. All entry purchases are deducted from the customer’s BetOnline Sportsbook balance. If you do not purchase all 25 entries, you can come back and purchase more at any time until the deadline which is Monday, September 9th at 8:05 pm ET.
As you are most likely aware, registration for the Survivor Contest is only available online. You cannot register via phone, chat, or email. All sales are final in this contest, and there are no refunds.
To make your weekly pick, simply select the team you think will win its game outright. Each game locks at its associated kickoff time. Once a pick is made, the selection may be changed at any time until the game locks. At this time, the selection is confirmed and may not be changed. You must submit picks for the current contest week before 8:15 pm ET on Monday night and if you do not select a team by this time, your entry will be graded as a loss and is eliminated from the contest. If a team is not available for selection this indicates the game has already locked, the team has been previously selected or the team is on a “Bye” week.
Per the site, from Thursday, July 18th to Sunday, August 18th, 2024, BetOnline is offering an early bird promotion for advance purchase of NFL Survivor contest entries. During the promotion period, every player who purchases three or more entries in the $300,000 NFL Survivor Contest will receive an additional entry free of charge. The free survivor entry will be credited by Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, and the Survivor entry is non-transferable.
