NFL fans can rejoice as football returns to our screens this weekend, with the Kansas City Chiefs looking to cement themselves as a dynasty by going for a third consecutive Super Bowl title.
A 25-22 victory in overtime against the San Francisco 49ers last time out made the franchise become a dynasty with a second title in a row, and a third in five years. But as the new season begins, it brings new opportunities for other franchises to make their own impression on the league and bring to an end this era of dominance.
We’ll take a look ahead to the new season and provide you with our best free NFL betting picks to try and earn you some extra cash while you enjoy the action on the field.

Below you’ll find a list of favorites to win the NFL Super Bowl LIX.
Led by their legendary quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City are the first team in two decades to win back-to-back championships and will be pushing to make history by becoming the first team in history to win three in a row.
They did their best at the draft to keep the offense on song and a threat to everyone, adding speedster Xavier Worthy to their collection of wide receiver weapons for Mahomes to utilize. They’ll still have Travis Kelce as part of the roster too after he opted against retirement.
Last season the team ranked second in points allowed, yards allowed, and sacks and despite their worst regular season performance in years. They just clicked into gear once the playoffs began and their experience came in clutch, and it helps to have one of the best ever leading the charge.
Pre-season hasn’t been kind to them either, losing all three games against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears, but once the season starts they will kickstart and switch on. They’ll likely win the AFC West once again, but a third consecutive Super Bowl has never been done before and +550 isn’t good enough value to convince me to back them to be the first.

The Niners are widely considered to have the most talented roster in the NFL from top to bottom, so it is no surprise to see them in this conversation once again.
Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey both finished as top-five NFL MVP candidates, while the defense was once again among the best in the league. But they just fell short when Mahomes decided to grab the game by the scruff of the neck, and now they have to start again.
After adding wide receiver Ricky Pearsall in the draft to likely replace an outgoing Brandon Aiyuk, the team is refreshed and still hungry to claim a ring and this looks like the perfect season for them to do it. They won the NFC West last season and it would take a stunning effort from someone else to stop them doing it again this year.
So far in pre-season the 49ers have gone 1-1-1 with a defeat to the Tennessee Titans, a win against New Orleans Saints and a 24-24 tie with the Las Vegas Raiders. But they look ready to go and opening their season in the Monday night game should kickstart their season.
At +650 there is fantastic value, and that price will only drop as they rack up more wins and the season moves on. Take the price now and hope they don’t have to run into a charged up Mahomes once again in the playoffs.
The Ravens earned the AFC’s top seed last season with a record of 13-4, and star man Lamar Jackson won the NFL MVP award for the second time in his career.
But despite going into a game against the Chiefs as favorites, they couldn’t get the job done and fell short in the playoffs. Baltimore have one of the only players that can argue he is as good and as effective as Mahomes in Jackson, but his performance in the AFC Championship game last year was poor by his own lofty standards.
Baltimore bolstered their already strong running game by signing Derrick Henry, making their offense even harder to deal with. Defensive co-ordinator Mike MacDonald has moved on, but the franchise has kept most of their important pieces intact, and they will come into this season incredibly hungry for their first Super Bowl since 2013.
Pre-season has seen some iffy performances with defeats to the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers either side of a win over the Atlanta Falcons, and they start the season against the Chiefs.
At +1100 there is tremendous value in backing them to avenge their mistakes of last year and go all the way. The roster is more experienced now and if they can learn from their errors, they are a great pick.
