Game 4 of the 2023 NBA Finals sees the Miami Heat taking on the Denver Nuggets at the Kaseya Center. The series switches back to Denver for Game 5, so the Heat need to make the most of their second home match. The Nuggets start as favorites, and here we tell you if they are going to win or not, in our latest NBA Finals betting picks.
What a series it has been so far. The Nuggets claimed the first match with a 104-93 win at the Ball Arena. But then the Heat fought back and leveled the series with a 111-108 win in the second match, also at the Ball Arena in Denver.
This set Game Three of the series up perfectly. The finals had switched to Miami for two matches, and the chance was there for the Heat to cash in on home advantage and put themselves in control.
Questions were asked of the Nuggets after their defeat, and the pressure was on Michael Malone’s side. After all, they were the overwhelming favorites to win their first-ever NBA Championship. So how would the Nuggets respond? Would they crumble under the pressure? Or would they bounce back with a win?
In the end, it emphatically turned out to be the latter. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray led the Nuggets to a 109-94 win, putting the pressure back on the Heat, and also reestablishing the Nuggets as the overwhelming favorites to win the series with the best NBA finals betting sites.
With the series at 1-1, the Nuggets were -280 to win the NBA title. Now, with the series at 2-1, they are -900. At the same time, the Heat has gone from +235 to +600.
The result seems to have not only put the Nuggets back in the lead. It also appears to have regained the confidence of both bookmakers and punters that this title is heading to Denver.
The Nuggets may well be massive favorites with the best NBA betting sites to win the series outright, but they still have plenty of work to do. The reality is they are at par. They’ve played two at home, and one away, and lead the series 2-1.
This is a scoreline they may well have been expecting at this stage of the series before it began.
If the Miami Heat can put on a big performance in front of their home fans on Friday night, the series could be back in the balance again.
And the sportsbooks are giving Erik Spoelstra’s team a chance. On the moneyline, the Heat is +135, with the Denver Nuggets at -155. That isn’t one-sided betting odds. It’s saying that Miami has a good chance.
On the handicap spread, the Heat are receiving a 3-point start. With the extra points, the Heat are at -105, with the Nuggets at -115. The total points spread is set at 210.5. Both over and under are -110.

In Game Three, it was the Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray show. Jokic scored 32 points, with 21 rebounds and 10 assists. Murray scored 34 points, with 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Between them, Jokic and Murray became the first teammates to post triple-doubles in the same NBA Finals match. A feat that led to head coach Michael Malone saying it was “by far their greatest performance as a duo in their seven years together”
That won’t be music to the ears of any Heat fans.
And with statistics and excellent form like that, we can only really expect to see more of the same from the Nuggets. The Heat produced their performance of the series in Game Two to level the scoreline up. And you get the feeling, they will need a similar performance to level the series again.
But with the series moving back to Denver for Game Five, the Nuggets will smell blood. Win Game Four, and they will have the opportunity to close out the series in front of their own fans on Monday night. We simply can’t see them passing up that opportunity.
In their two series wins to date, the Nuggets have won by 15 and 11 points. Okay, so there may be one close match to come in the series, but we’re happy to risk that and take the better price. We’re backing the Nuggets to win the match and cover the spread for our betting pick.
Elsewhere, and what about the total points market? Well, so far in this series the three matches have produced points totals of 197, 219, and 203.
The spread is set at 210.5 and with nerves possibly playing a part on Friday, we feel a wager on under 210.5 at -110 is a good value bet.
