The finale of the 2022 NASCAR season is here and SBS has you covered with a breakdown of who will win the final race of the season. Taking place at the Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona, the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race should be an excellent battle between some of the sport’s top names. Coming down to the final four racers of the season, Chase Elliott leads the way as the presumptive favorite to take home the crown, but only by a hair. Following him are Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, and Ross Chastain. In an epic showdown to determine the 2022 champion of the sport, anything can happen at the Phoenix Raceway.

For this article, SBS will go over what to look for from each driver, who will win the final race of the season, and also some more thoughts about NASCAR wagering.

The No. 1 Contender: Chase Elliott (+225)

In relation to the other drivers, Elliott is coming off the worst finish at last weekend’s event, the 2022 Xfinity 500. In that race, he finished 11th out of the field, however, this season he has been one of the sport’s best with five total wins, including one in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. With the rest of the field prepping for this final showdown, the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Regular Season Champion will have his hands full holding off the pack.

The No. 2 Driver: Christopher Bell (+360)

Of the remaining drivers, Bell is riding the hottest hand. In the 2022 edition of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, the 27-year-old has won two races which is as much as the other three contenders combined. In fact, Bell is coming off a win at the Xfinity 500 which gives him three total on the season. Can he keep up this torrid pace? History would think otherwise but of any of the final racers, Bell has been the biggest winner since the Playoffs started

The No. 3 Driver: Joey Logano (+450)

Logano was the first of the final four drivers to clinch a spot in the championship four-pack after he won the first race of the Round of 8 at Las Vegas. One of the most polarizing drivers in the sport, the 32-year-old has a shot at a championship if he can keep up his playoff pace. Following a seventh-place finish last weekend, this will be a big race for the veteran and maybe even the biggest of his career thus far. At the low-banked tri-oval of Phoenix Raceway, perhaps this will play to Logano’s advantage.

Final Contending racer: Ross Chastain (+500)

The last spotlight on our list, Chastain has been perhaps the most consistent of any of the drivers on this countdown. With four top-five finishes to go along with multiple top-ten starts, Chastain has definitely earned his spot in the final four. Known for his last lap wall-riding pass on five racers at Martinsville earlier this year, Chastain was able to secure a spot in the Championship 4 race this week.

Prediction: This will definitely be a competitive race and one that will not be decided until maybe the final lap, but Bell certainly has proven he can consistently place high in each race he enters
