The NBA continues tonight and there is a cracker of a match in store at the United Center in Chicago, where in-form Chicago Bulls take on the out-of-sorts Brooklyn Nets in a top-of-the-table clash in the Eastern Conference.
The indifferent form of Brooklyn hasn’t had too much of an impact on their betting odds to win the 2021/22 NBA Championship.
The Nets are still the +275 betting favorites to win the championship. Tonight’s opponents, the Chicago Bulls, are +1600.

Brooklyn Nets | +275 | +236 |

LA Lakers | +1200 | +1150 |

Chicago Bulls | +1600 | +1650 |
Also in action from the Eastern Conference, tonight is the Miami Heat. They will be looking to build on Saturday’s excellent win over the Phoenix Suns.
While over in the Western Conference, third-placed Utah Jazz is the highest placed team taking to the court tonight. They will be looking to end a three-match losing streak when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Starting with the match of the night, it’s the top two sides in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls and the Nets, who meet in Chicago.
The Bulls’ nine-match winning streak finally came to an end when they were defeated by 113 points to 99 by the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center on Sunday.
They bounced back with a win last night, thrashing the Detroit Pistons 133-87 at home.
The nine-match-winning run has seen the Bulls storm to the top of the Eastern Conference, at the expense of tonight’s opponents.
The main caveat to the winning streak though is that the Bulls didn’t play any of the top sides in the NBA.
All of the wins came against the middle to lower-ranked sides, and questions still remain about the Bulls’ overall credentials.
The run certainly hasn’t made much impact on the top NBA betting sites either, who only have them as the +800 fourth betting favorite to win the Eastern Conference.
Opponents, the Brooklyn Nets, who incidentally are the +125 favorites to win the Eastern Conference, have had a rough time of things lately.
Steve Nash’s team has a 4-6 record across their last ten outings.
In their last seven matches, they have lost five, the most recent being the 114-108 defeat to Portland Trail Blazers.
It’s no secret that the last couple of weeks hasn’t been kind to the Nets.
Their schedule has been hectic, and they’ve had injuries and illness, but Kevin Durant certainly wasn’t using any of that as an excuse for the latest defeat.
All this makes this match-up intriguing.
The Bulls haven’t played any of the big boys in their recent good run, and here they are up against an out-of-form Brooklyn Nets, with the chance to put that accusation to bed.
Will they rise to the occasion and take down the Nets?
The sportsbooks have them neck and neck on the Moneyline, both at -110.
I’m going for the Nets to turn things around and get the win tonight for my betting pick.

Over in Atlanta, the struggling Hawks host Miami Heat – who are coming off the back of a magnificent win over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.
In their last ten matches, the Hawks’ record reads 3-7, and they are on a losing streak of two. At home, their record reads 8-9.
As for the Heat, in their last ten matches, they’ve won seven and lost three. They’re on a winning streak of two, and they are 13-11 away from home.
The form all points to a win for the Heat, and with a +3.5 start on the spread, I’m going to play safe and pick them to win on the handicap.
Over in Salt Lake City, Utah Jazz will be hoping that a home match against the Cleveland Cavaliers can see them end a losing streak of three.
This is a non-conference fixture with Utah Jazz sitting third in the Western Conference, and the Cleveland Cavaliers sixth in the Eastern.
Neither of these teams is in the greatest of form of late. In their last ten matches, Utah is 6-4, while Cleveland is 4-6.
More alarmingly for the Jazz is that three of the four defeats have come in the last three matches.
And the losses weren’t to any of the major teams either!
The Cleveland Cavaliers beat Sacramento Kings 109-108 in their last match on Monday night and come into this match in good form.
In their last five matches, they have won four and lost one. The one defeat came at the hands of the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
Will the tough schedule be too much for the Cavaliers though? This is their third match in four days, and this needs to be taken into consideration when making our pick.
I’m going for the Jazz to overcome the -6.5 spread and get back to winning ways in style tonight.
