There’s another explosive night of NHL action tonight, and here at Sports Betting Sites we’ve got betting picks on all of the top match-ups.
Before we get on to the picks, I just wanted to have a look at the latest betting to win the Stanley Cup.
As you can see, the best NHL betting sites still have the Colorado Avalanche as their betting favorites at +650.
This despite them languishing down in 6th place in the Central Division, with only two of the worst sides in the NHL below them (the Blackhawks and Coyotes).
Two of the Avalanche’s closest betting rivals, the Florida Panthers (+900) and the Carolina Hurricanes (+900) sit top of their respective divisions.

Florida Panthers | +900 | +850 |
Carolina Hurricanes | +900 | +950 |
Tampa Bay Lightning | +900 | +1000 |
Toronto Maple Leafs | +1000 | +900 |
Vegas Golden Knights | +1100 | +1000 |
Edmonton Oilers | +1200 | +1200 |
Right, onto the night’s picks, and we’re staring up in Canada with our old favorites, the Maple Leafs.
The Maple Leafs are hot at the moment, and they will want to keep their run going against the high-flying Rangers.
It’s a clash of two in-form teams. The Maple Leafs have won four matches in a row, as have the Rangers.
In their last match, Toronto despatched the Predators 3-0 to take their season record to 11-5-1, and in their last ten, they are now 9-1-0.
As for the Rangers, they won their last match in a less convincing style. They beat the Canadiens 3-2 at home. In their last 10, New York is 6-2-2, with an overall record this season of 10-3-3.
It has the making of a close match, but I feel the Maple Leafs are in a better place at the moment. I’m taking the Maple Leafs at -175 on the Moneyline to win.
After a flying start to the season, the Panthers have stuttered a touch in recent times.
They will see this fixture as a chance to get a winning run going again.
The Panthers have an overall season record of 11-2-3. In their last ten outings, they have been 5-2-3.
In their last match, they thrashed the Islanders 6-1, this win came on the back of a four-match losing streak.
Unfortunately for the New York Devils, they are a team on the slide.
They have lost their last two, and in their last ten matches, their record reads 4-3-3.
The Devils’ overall season record is 7-4-3, showing just how their form has deserted them lately.
I can only see another win for the Panthers in this match, and I think it’s worth taking them on the handicap, as there is a good chance they will be two scores better than the Devils.

Two of the top sides in the Western Conference clash when the Oilers host the Jets at Rogers Place tonight.
The Oilers have just lost top spot in the Pacific Division due to a combination of an eight-match winning run from the Ducks, and a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Jets earlier this week.
Overall this season has been good for the Oilers. They have an overall 11-4-0 record, and in the last ten matches, they are 6-4-0.
There has been a slight drop-off in form of late. But their start to the season was exceptional, winning their first five on the bounce.
The Winnipeg Jets arrive in Edmonton on a three-match winning streak. They have an overall season record of 9-3-3, with their last ten fixtures reading 7-1-2.
The Jets do seem to be in a slightly better place at the moment, and they do have Tuesday night’s 5-2 win over the Oilers as proof of that.
But the Oilers have home advantage, and will want to put the record straight, so I’m going for them to win on the Moneyline.
The Golden Knights will be looking for revenge when they host the Red Wings in the T-Mobile Arena tonight.
Yes, just under two weeks ago the Red Wings defeated the Golden Knights 5-2 when the two sides met at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
After that, the Golden Knights went on a three-match winning run that was brought to an end with Tuesday’s 4-2 defeat to the Hurricanes.
The top Stanley Cup betting sites still have the Knights way ahead of the Red Wings to lift the trophy at the end of the season though.
BetOnline has the Knights at +1100, and the Red Wings at +10000.
The Red Wings have struggled of late, and go into the match on a losing streak of two. They are 4-6-0 in their last ten, and 8-8-2 overall this season.
I suspect that home advantage played a part in Tuesday’s result, and I expect the Knights to get revenge tonight.
On the handicap line, Vegas are +155, and I think that well worth a bet.
