There’s an absolute humdinger of a match-up taking place in the NBA tonight when the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors clash in Arizona.
The Phoenix Suns are on a 16 match winning streak, and they face the favorites to win the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors.
Elsewhere in the Western Conference tonight, the hit-and-miss Lakers are in action again, they make the trip to Sacramento to take on the Kings.
The Western Conference is shaping up nicely and with the excellent form the Suns are in, it’s becoming a real two-way fight at the top of the table.
The best NBA betting sites still see it as a four-way tussle though.
They certainly haven’t ruled out the Lakers or the Jazz to be in the mix come to the end of the season.
BetOnline still favors the Warriors to finish the season in the first place.
But if the Suns can keep this form going, they could well displace Steve Kerr’s men at the top of the betting and the table.
The Warriors are +210 to win the conference, with the Suns, Jazz, and Lakers all following close behind.

What a match-up this promises to be Arizona tonight when the two form teams in the conference clash.
Where do we start with this match? The Phoenix Suns are on an unbelievable run, they have now won their last 16 (yes, sixteen) matches in a row.
If they win this match, they will equal the franchises best-ever winning streak of 17.
They will then have the chance to beat it on Thursday against the Pistons, before again facing the Warriors on Friday.
The Golden State Warriors haven’t been doing too badly either, they’ve won their last seven in a row.
As well as their winning streak, they’ve also seen Steph Curry equalling a franchise record with his 50 points and 10 assists against Atlanta Hawks earlier in the month.
Incidentally, it was the tenth time in his career he has scored 50 points.
At most stages of most seasons, the seven wins in a row the Warriors are now on would be a decent record, but not compared to the Suns at the moment!
In their last ten matches, the Suns are obviously 10-0. The Golden State Warriors are 9-1.
The Warriors have a win percentage of .900, while for the Suns it is .850. Golden States’ record for the season reads 18-2, while the Suns’ is 17-3.
It’s that one defeat that separates the two teams.
The Suns’ three defeats all came in their opening four matches. Two of the losses were at home, to the Nuggets (110-98) and the Kings (110-107) in matches one and four respectively.
Could the fact that the Suns have tasted defeat more often at home than on the road be a significant factor tonight?
I’m really a bit torn on which way to go in this match tonight.
If forced to make a call, I would go for the Warriors to win.
But on this occasion, as the Suns are so hot at the moment, I’m going to leave the Moneyline alone and look at the over/under market instead.
As there is such an array of attacking quality on show tonight I’m hoping for plenty of points on the board, so all I can do here is go for overs to be my pick with BetUS.

Yes, there are actually some other matches taking place tonight, one of which is the Sacramento Kings hosting the LA Lakers.
The Kings are 8-13 this season, and in their last ten matches, their record reads 3-7, which coincidently is the same as their home record!
The Lakers are 11-11, and in their last ten, they are 4-6, which pretty much sums them up this season.
In the Kings’ last match they were defeated 128 to 101 by the Grizzlies, an absolute mauling!
Prior to that, the Kings won a match in overtime after overturning a 13 points deficit in the 4th quarter, against……..you’ve guessed it, the LA Lakers!
Again, this pretty much sums up the Lakers’ season.
The Lakers did bounce back from that soul-destroying loss by defeating the Detroit Pistons 110-106 on Sunday.
So does this mean that the inconsistent Lakers are now due a loss again? Or are they due a win on the head-to-head with the Kings?
It’s tough to say, but the Kings aren’t a great side, so I’m leaning towards the latter of those two questions, and I think that the Lakers will gain some revenge and win tonight.
